CSU-Pueblo Athletics Announces Promotions for Home Basketball Games
Colorado State University-Pueblo is proud to announce its promotions lineup for the remaining home basketball games on the ThunderWolves schedule. Among the highlights of the promotions is the 7th Annual Take a Kid to the Game Night to be held Saturday, February 11, 2012. Youth, ages 12 and younger, will receive a free general admission ticket to watch the ThunderWolves take on the Adams State University Grizzlies at Massari Arena. In addition to the games that evening, a Kid’s Fun Zone including a coloring and poster station, prize giveaways, and an autograph session with each basketball team. A special appearance by Scooby Doo and Shaggy will occur during both games.
Other highlights of the season are the Fan Appreciation Night on December 31 against UC-Colorado Springs, when ThunderWolves fans will receive free general admission tickets, and Pink Zone Night on February 24 as the ThunderWolves take on Colorado School of Mines while raising awareness and funds for breast cancer patient services.
In addition to the game promotions this basketball season, CSU-Pueblo Athletics has a limited number of opportunities remaining for National Anthem singers. December 16: Western New Mexico at CSU-Pueblo, 5:30 p.m. (W) and 7:30 p.m. (M)
- Angel Tree Project Toy Drive: Each fan who brings in one new, unwrapped toy will receive a $2 discount towards a general admission ticket. Toys will be donated to the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree Project.

- Everyday Heroes Night: $1 general admission tickets are being offered to retired and active military, law enforcement officers, educators, nurses, emergency medical technicians and paramedics. The offer is good for up to four tickets and can be received by showing a valid ID, name badge or by calling Niki Whitaker at 719-549-2021 to register. Tickets are subject to availability.

- RED OUT: Fans are encouraged to participate in the “RED OUT” by wearing a red t-shirt to the game. Each fan who wears red will receive a $3 general admission ticket to cheer on the Pack! The first 200 fans will also receive a free Official RED OUT t-shirt as they enter for the game.

- Cheerleading ThunderPup Clinic: The clinic participants will join the CSU-Pueblo Cheer Team in halftime performances during the men’s and women’s basketball games. The ThunderPup Club is open to all boys and girls in southern Colorado who are in the 8th grade and below. The cost to participate is a one-time fee of $10.00, which includes an official ThunderPup Club t-shirt, free admission to attend all remaining ThunderPup sports clinics throughout the year, and an official ThunderPup Membership Card (free admission to all CSU-Pueblo home games). - Youth Shootout: The CSU-Pueblo Youth Shootout is a free shooting contest for boys and girls in 3rd, 4th and 5th grades. All participants will receive a free gift and a free ticket to CSU-Pueblo's Feb. 10 basketball games.

- Take a Kid to the Game Night: Kids will have an opportunity to experience the college game-day atmosphere when CSU-Pueblo hosts the seventh annual Take a Kid to the Game® (TAKG) day celebration. Youth, ages 12 and younger, will receive a free general admission ticket to watch the ThunderWolves take on the Grizzlies at Massari Arena. - Pink Zone: The Colorado State University-Pueblo basketball teams and State Farm Insurance will team up in an effort to raise awareness of breast cancer with the 2nd Annual “Pink Zone” Night. Admission is $3 for those fans wearing pink and the first 200 fans in pink will also receive a FREE Pink Zone pom-pom courtesy of CSU-Pueblo Athletics. Coaches, players and staff will be wearing pink in honor of this occasion and donations collected that evening will be donated to the Breast Center of Excellence Campaign at St. Mary-Corwin Hospital in Pueblo.
- National Girls and Women in Sports Day: Colorado State University-Pueblo and Boys & Girls Clubs of Pueblo County will host a National Girls and Women in Sports Day at the Student Recreation Center at CSU-Pueblo from 3-5:30 p.m. This event will recognize the achievements of girls and women in sports and encourages all females of Pueblo to participate in sports and fitness activities. Attendees will have an opportunity to explore volleyball, soccer, softball, cheer/dance and healthy eating habits. The event is open to girls in the 8th grade and below and the first 250 registrants will receive free admission to the event, the basketball games and a pre-game meal.

- YMCA Youth Basketball League Night: The CSU-Pueblo Basketball Teams invite the YMCA Youth Basketball League to receive FREE admission on Saturday, February 25, 2012. Friends and family of league participants can purchase tickets for $3 each on game day. League participants must wear their uniforms to receive the free ticket; coaches must show their coaching badge.
