CSU-Pueblo 'Pack Club' looking to increase members

PUEBLO, Colo. (GoThunderWolves.com – Mar. 25, 2011) – “The Pack Club”, the official booster club of Colorado State University-Pueblo Department of Athletics, is nearing the end of its 2010-11 membership drive and is still in need of members to meet their goal.

Currently, “The Pack Club” has over 225 members, including Board of Directors, Akela Club and ThunderGal members.  This is a significant increase over the past several of years, but is short of the 2010-11 Pack Club goal of 500 members.

To become a member of “The Pack Club” donors must make a minimum contribution of $100. Pack Club membership benefits, based on the amount of the donation, include official Pack Club hats, polo shirts, season tickets, hospitality room passes, etc.

“The Pack Club” is the cornerstone of CSU-Pueblo Athletics, raising money to fund athletic scholarships and operating funds to assist our student athletes and their respective teams to be competitive at the highest levels in NCAA Division II.

With the rising costs of higher education and today’s economy, external sources of funding are vital to maintain a high quality athletics program and to ensure the academic and athletic success of CSU-Pueblo student athletes.

Since joining the RMAC in 1996, the ThunderWolves have won 34 conference team titles, qualified for 35 NCAA Division II National Tournaments, crowned 31 All-Americans, and had 340 student athletes earn Academic All-RMAC honors. In addition, Pack student athletes contribute more than 3,000 hours of community service each year in the community of Pueblo.

“The Pack Club’s” financial help, along with their enthusiasm in the stands, assist our student athletes and coaches as they pursue excellence in the classroom and on the playing fields.

Become part of the excitement by becoming a Pack Club member today. You not only will receive benefits and recognition, but the gratification of knowing you are helping student athletes realize their dreams of earning a bachelor’s degree and competing in the sport they love.
