Multiple promotions on tap for weekend basketball games
Faculty/Staff appreciation, Red Out slated for Friday with Wolfie's birthday scheduled for Saturday.
PUEBLO, Colo. (GoThunderWolves.com - Jan. 18, 2012) - The CSU-Pueblo men's and women's basketball games vs. Chadron State and Nebraska-Kearney this Friday and Saturday, Jan. 20 and 21, will feature numerous promotions, including a "Red Out" Friday vs. the Eagles and a birthday celebration for Wolfie, the ThunderWolves' mascot, on Saturday vs. the Lopers.
Friday's game vs. Chadron State, sponsored by the Pueblo Chieftain, will be a "Red Out," giving each fan who wears red a discounted $3 general admission ticket to the game. Additionally, the game features the debut of the ThunderWolves' new and improved student section, "The ThunderZone", and will give the first 250 CSU-Pueblo students with ID an official "ThunderZone" T-shirt.
As part of the ThunderZone debut, students will receive ThunderZone punch cards, which will allow the holder to win prizes such as lift tickets to Monarch Mountain, Apple TV and other prizes. ThunderZone punch cards can be obtained from promotions staff on game night.
Faculty/Staff Appreciation night, also on Friday, allows all CSU-Pueblo faculty, staff and their families $1 admission (for up to four people) with their school ID or a copy of a the promotional flyer, which was e-mailed to all staff and faculty members. To round out Friday's game, the 2011 RMAC Championship football will be honored, as will the Athletic Director's Honor Roll. Incoming CSU-President, Lesley DiMare, will also be on hand as the honorary head coach for both games.
During Saturday's game vs. Nebraska-Kearney, sponsored by the Pueblo Marriott, fans will celebrate the Sweet 16 Birthday party for Wolfie, CSU-Pueblo's mascot. The first 200 fans will receive a voucher good for free cake and ice cream during halftime of the men's game.
Saturday will also feature the ThunderWolf Cheer ThunderPup Clinic, which kicks off prior to the games at 3:30 p.m. Clinic participants will perform in routines at halftime of both games.
The cost to participate is a one-time fee of $10.00, which includes an official ThunderPup Club t-shirt, free admission to attend all remaining ThunderPup sports clinics throughout the year, and an official ThunderPup Membership Card (free admission to all CSU-Pueblo home games).
