8th Annual 'Lobster Bake' is August 1
CSU-Pueblo Athletics to kickoff athletics season with fundraiser
PUEBLO, Colo. (GoThunderWolves.com – July 2, 2012) – The eighth annual Lobster Bake, the annual fundraiser that kicks off the ThunderWolves athletics season, will take place on Wednesday, August 1 at the Occhiato University Center on the campus of Colorado State University-Pueblo.
The Lobster Bake event will feature a lobster & steak buffet dinner, complimentary Miller Beer, wine and Pepsi products, and a preview of the upcoming athletics season by CSU-Pueblo director of athletics, Joe Folda, and University president, Dr. Lesley A. Di Mare.
Immediately preceding the event is a silent auction, which features such items as tickets to Denver Broncos and Colorado Rockies games, VIP fan experiences with the Colorado Rockies or ThunderWolves football and basketball, and autographed memorabilia from NFL and MLB Hall of Famers.
Also featured is the “Canon National Bank Balloon Pop”, in which participants have an opportunity to win items various CSU-Pueblo athletic teams as well as qualifying to win bigger items, all for a cost of just $10 per balloon.
Tickets to the Lobster Bake are $50 and are available either by calling CSU-Pueblo Athletic Development Director, Todd Kelly, at (719) 549-2013 or by purchasing online at www.csuplobsterbake.com. All proceeds from the event go toward the CSU-Pueblo Athletics Scholarship Fund.
