In 2009, the CSU-Pueblo Department of Athletics hosted the ThunderWolves' first ever "Gridiron Gals" luncheon.  Because the event was such a huge success, it was decided to expand on the support of the inaugural Gridiron Gals event and create a booster club that could support all of the various sports that CSU-Pueblo has to offer.

The women who attended that first event really enjoyed meeting our football coaches and student-athletes and felt even more connected at the game while cheering on their Thunderwolves.  For this reason, the CSU-Pueblo Department of Athletics knew that women would enjoy more events that included all of the coaching staff and wonderful student-athletes that CSU-Pueblo has to offer.

Athletic staff personnel spent some time brainstorming for an appropriate name for a women’s only booster club and developing a logo that is recognizable, but with a feminine touch.  Out of this planning session, it was decided to officially launch the start of the “ThunderGals – a ThunderWolves Fan Club for Women”.

Officially, the ThunderGals is a women's fan club with a goal to raise funds for athletic scholarships and to provide assistance to athletes, coaches and the athletic department at CSU-Pueblo.

Each year, the ThunderGals will host four quarterly events to include the Gridiron Gals luncheon, a winter sports after-hours social and vendor fair, a spring time event still to be determined and a summer time women’s only golf outing.

When you join the ThunderGals, you'll be promoting the continued success of CSU-Pueblo athletics, all while enjoying the camaraderie of a diverse group of avid, female ThunderWolf fans.

Annual ThunderGals dues are just $100 and includes an official ThunderGals shirt and visor. Click here to view a list of benefits and fill out a pledge form to join the ThunderGals!
