Lockhart and McDondle named Pack Athletes of the Week presented by Mobile Record Shredders

PUEBLO, Colo. (October 12, 2016) - Colorado State University-Pueblo's Rianna Lockhart (R-So., Colorado Springs, Colo.) and Bernard McDondle (Jr., Littleton, Colo.) have been named Pack Student-Athletes of the Week, presented by Mobile Record Shredders.

Lockhart, of the ThunderWolves' soccer team helped guide the Pack in two wins at home last week and their fifth consecutive win. With the weekend sweep CSU-Pueblo jumped to fourth in the latest NSCAA South Central Regional Rankings and now sit second in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference standings.

Friday the Pack defeated Regis University 2-1 on RESPECT night at the Art & Lorraine Gonzales Soccer Stadium. The Pack held the Rangers to five shots in the game.

Sunday the Pack welcomed MSU Denver to the pitch, shutting out the Roadrunners 1-0 behind a late first half goal by Lockhart. She now has two goals scored on the year.

Lockhart and Co. held the Roadrunners to seven shots and just three in the second half.

On the men's side, McDondle totaled 151 of his career-high 276 yards in the first half, while three of his four rushing touchdowns also came in the first two quarters of a 56-12 route of Adams State Saturday in Alamosa, Colo.

He rushed 18 times to average 15.3 yards per carry. The junior's long rush was for 80 yards to the end zone at the taile end of the third quarter. His other three scores came from 43, 32, and 20 yards out. The four touchdowns are the most by an RMAC rusher this season. He rushed for more than 100 yards in each of his four games played.

CSU-Pueblo women's soccer (8-3, 5-2 RMAC) puts their win streak on the line Sunday when New Mexico Highlands comes to town for an RMAC battle. Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. following the men's game at noon at Gonzales Soccer Stadium.

Pack football (3-3, 3-2 RMAC) returns home for homecoming week as they welcome Fort Lewis. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. at Neta & Eddie DeRose ThunderBowl.
