PUEBLO, Colo. (October 26, 2016) - Colorado State University-Pueblo's Alison Darr (Sr., Placerville, Calif.) and Rex Dausin (Jr., San Antonio, Tex.) have been named Pack Student-Athletes of the Week, presented by Mobile Record Shredders.
Darr led the women's soccer team to their eighth straight win, setting a new program record; following two shutout wins at home over Colorado Mesa and Westminster to close out the home portion of the schedule.
The 5-foot-9 senior gathered her sixth and shutouts of the season bringing her career total to twelve in two seasons with the Pack placing her third all-time in school history.
As a result the ThunderWolves broke into the national polls coming in at No. 24 of the latest NSCAA Poll released Tuesday.
On the men's side, Dausin threw for a program record six touchdowns in the 49-14 win at Black Hills State (entered tied for RMAC lead at 5-2). The six scores through the air ties the RMAC best this season and ranks tied for second most in NCAA Division II in 2016.
Dausin threw a touchdown on six of his 19 attempts, as he went 14-for-19 (73.7%) for 169 yards. His long throw went for a 43-yard score. Five of his touchdown throws came in the first half. He did throw an interception and posted a passer rating of 252.6. He surpassed the previous program record of five passing touchdowns set by his older brother, Ross, in 2012 and Chris Bonner in 2013.
The women's soccer team wraps up the regular season on the road with matches at UCCS Friday and at Western State Sunday in the season finale.
The Pack football team remains on the road this week and face Western State Colorado University in RMAC action in Gunnison, kickoff is set for 1 p.m. at the Mountaineer Bowl.
