15th Annual CSU-Pueblo Spank Blasing Run/Walk set for April 22

PUEBLO, Colo. (March 23, 2017) – Colorado State University-Pueblo Athletics presents the 15th annual Spank Blasing 5K Run & Fun Run/Walk through the campus of CSU-Pueblo, April 22, 2017.

The Spank offers a great opportunity for members of the community to get out and get active, while supporting the Pack by raising money for student-athlete scholarships.

This year, the 5K run and fun run/walk will be an exciting course through the beautiful campus of CSU-Pueblo, which will end at the Leomiti Warrior Center Rooftop.

The 5K race will begin at 8:30 a.m. with registration and packet pick-up from 7-8 a.m. at the ThunderBowl. The fun run/walk is also scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m.

Pre-race registration is available now through April 17 and to ensure your correct T-shirt size, runners are encouraged to register by April 1. Cost for the run is $25 for adults and $20 for youth 18 or younger. The cost for race day registration is $30 for all ages.

Family rates are also available for pre-race registration for $75, which will include two adults and two youth.

The entry fee includes an official race T-shirt, goodie bag, post-event drinks and snacks and a Miller Lite beer for participants 21 and older.

Awards will be given to the three top finishers for both men and women in the 5K.

Pre-race packet pick-up will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, April 21 in Massari Arena.
