PUEBLO, Colo. (March 29, 2017) - Colorado State University-Pueblo's Jacquelyn Porman (Sr., Gilbert, Ariz.) and Blake Foerster (Jr., Centennial, Colo.) have been named Pack Student-Athletes of the Week, presented by Mobile Record Shredders.
Porman won the Pack Spring Invite to guide the ThunderWolves to a team tournament victory, the team's first tournament win since April 2014.
She shot a one-over 73 Monday and finished with a 75 (+3) Tuesday for a 148 (+4). She won the home tournament at Walking Stick Golf Course by two strokes. Porman led the field in Par 4 scoring at +1 and was second in most pars with 22.
For her efforts Porman earned RMAC Women's Golfer of the Week, the first of the year for Porman and the women's golf team.
On the men's side, Foerster received RMAC Offensive Player of the Week accolades for a second time in his Pack career and first time this season after leading the Pack men's lacrosse team during a 2-1 week.
He last earned this award March 22, 2016 when he became the first RMAC Offensive Player of the Week in school history.
Over the Pack's three-game spring break road trip, Foerster averaged 5.67 points per game. He potted 10 goals and handed out seven assists.
Foerster rifled in five goals and added three assists in the Pack's victory over St. Mary's. The Attackman netted two goals and dished out an assist in the Pack's win over the Saints.
In the loss to the Hawks Sunday, he scored three goals and handed out three more assists.
With 3.33 goals per game, Foerster leads the RMAC. The attackman ranks eighth in D-II in goals per game. Foerster's 5.0 points per game also tops the conference and places him seventh in D-II.
Foerster and Co. have led the Pack to a 3-3 record overall. CSU-Pueblo won their first RMAC game this past weekend when they knocked off Maryville 18-10 for their first conference win.
Coming off the Pack Spring Invite victory, CSU-Pueblo women's golf will travel to the West Texas Desert Invite in Tucson, Arizona April 3-4.
The men's lacrosse squad returns to Art & Lorraine Gonzales Stadium Friday night when they host Westminster College at 7 p.m.
