PUEBLO, Colo. (October 13, 2017) – Colorado State University-Pueblo Athletics will recognize student-athletes who achieved a 3.0 GPA or higher during the 2017 spring semester Tuesday, Oct. 17 at the Pack Volleyball game at Massari Arena. The evening will also serve as CSU-Pueblo Faculty/Staff Appreciation and Dig Pink Night.
The volleyball match is set for 7 p.m. versus Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference foe Westminster College. The recognition will occur following the second set.
Formally known as the AD Honor Roll, the Dr. Dan Caprioglio Honor Roll will recognize student-athletes from all 22 programs who achieved a 3.0 GPA or higher last semester. The award is named after former CSU-Pueblo professor and Faculty Athletic Representative Dr. Dan Caprioglio, who tragically passed away in a bicycle accident last summer. He made an enormous impact on the CSU-Pueblo campus and on the success of the student-athlete's as the FAR.
In honor of Pack student-athletes accomplishing greatness in the classroom, ThunderWolves Athletics will offer free tickets to all CSU-Pueblo faculty and staff, and their immediate families. Each sport has identified a faculty/staff member to join them during the celebration.
The game will also serve as the Pack Volleyball Dig Pink Night, which will raise awareness for breast cancer research. Fans who wear pink will earn free admission.
Pack Athletics invites all fans in the Pueblo area to help celebrate the academic excellence of CSU-Pueblo student-athletes at the Pack volleyball match vs. Westminster Tuesday at 7 p.m.
