PUEBLO, Colo. (October 18, 2017) – Colorado State University-Pueblo Athletics celebrated Dr. Dan's Honor Roll Night Tuesday during CSU-Pueblo Volleyball's win over Westminster at Massari Arena. Pack Athletics recognized the 181 student-athletes who achieved a 3.0 GPA or higher during the spring semester during a ceremony held between sets two and three.
The Pack's Honor Roll Night was dedicated to Dr. Dan Caprioglio, former CSU-Pueblo professor and Faculty Athletic Representative, who tragically passed away in a bicycle accident last summer. He made an enormous impact on the CSU-Pueblo campus and on the success of the student-athletes as the FAR.
Thanks to the 181 student-athletes who made Dr. Dan's Honor roll, Pack Athletics combined for a 3.0 GPA among 22 sports over the spring semester. In total, 47 student-athletes, cheerleaders, dance team members, and athletic trainers achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA.
The ThunderWolves also recognized the professors and support staff that make the university succeed with Faculty & Staff Appreciation Night. Each of the 22 athletic teams was accompanied by a professor who helped that respective succeed in the classroom.
A faculty or staff member joined every CSU-Pueblo Volleyball student-athlete during introductions as part of Faculty & Staff Appreciation Night. Each Faculty & Staff member was selected by a volleyball student-athlete.
