Colorado State University-Pueblo Athletic Training provides CSUP Athletics with sports injury prevention, injury care and post-injury restoration. Nationally certified and state licensed athletic trainers (ATCs) provide medical coverage for athletes who are on teams sponsored by CSU-Pueblo. The medical staff consists of Head Athletic Trainer, James Paul, and is aided by athletic training students from the CSU-Pueblo Athletic Training Program. CSU-Pueblo ATCs are present at all home contests and often provide care for both home and visiting athletes. Referral support and orthopedic physician referral can also be provided by the CSU-Pueblo Athletic Training staff.

The Athletic Training Facilities are currently located in Massari Arena on the Colorado State University-Pueblo campus, conveniently stationed near all athletics facilities on the campus.  The Athletic Training Room has facilities for hydrotherapy treatment; electrical, ultrasound and other modality treatment; an athlete taping/wrapping area and a rehabilitation/exercise area with treadmill, elliptical machine, stationary cycle and other rehabilitation equipment.

You may contact the CSU-Pueblo Athletic Training Room by phone at 719-549-2431, fax 719-549-2375 or e-mail at james.paul@colostate-pueblo.edu.
