PUEBLO, Colo. (March 20, 2015) – Lace up those running sneakers for the Pack, as the 13th Annual Spank Blasing 5K/10K Run & Fun Walk, presented by Kaiser Permanente®, is set for April 18 on the campus of Colorado State University-Pueblo.
The Spank promotes a healthy family lifestyle, exercise, fitness, and higher education, while the proceeds go directly to CSU-Pueblo student-athlete scholarships.
The 5K and 10K run and two-mile walk are conducted around the beautiful CSU-Pueblo campus and the Belmont neighborhood and ends with a final lap around the Neta & Eddie DeRose ThunderBowl. This year’s race will begin at 8:30 a.m. with registration from 7-8 a.m. at the ThunderBowl. Participants can also pick up their race packets Friday, April 17 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Massari Arena.
Early bird registration is available now through March 31. Registration cost for the Fun Walk, 5K Race and 10K Race before March 31 is $20 for adults and $15 for anyone 18 or younger. From April 1 to April 17, cost is $25 for adults and $20 for under 18.
There is also a family registration option for two adults and two students. The early bird rate is $55 ($75 from April 1-17).
The entry fee includes an official race gift, goodie bag, complimentary post-event Aquafina water and Gatorade, as well as a free breakfast burrito, and a free Miller Lite (for those 21 and older).
Awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers, while prizes will also be given to runners in different age groups.
