2008: Named to the all-Rocky Mountain Athletic
Conference second team as an outfielder ... Also was named to the
Daktronics all-West Region team as a second-team selection ... Led
the ThunderWolves in 2008 in most offensive
categories, including home runs (11), RBI (62), and slugging
percentage (.673) ... Cordova also finished third on the team
in hitting with a .393 average ... Cordova was also among the
national leaders in doubles, recording 24 two-baggers in 2008, the
24th most in the country ... His 62 RBI makes him just one of
20 players in school history to drive in 60 or more runs in a
season ... Closed 2008 on a 26-game hitting streak, one of the
longest in school history and just seven behind the all-time school
record (33), held by Tony Wittmus ... During his hit streak, had
one string where he recorded two or more hits in eight out of nine
games ... Had one of this best games on a big stage, going 4-for-6
with five RBI and three runs scored against Division I
foe, New Mexico State, on Apr. 1 ... Recorded 28 multi-hit games in
