Pack's Garcia selected as RMAC pitcher of the week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference has announced that CSU-Pueblo reliever, Chris Garcia, has been named RMAC Pitcher of the Week.
Garcia earned a win against Nebraska-Kearney on Friday. He came in on relief on Friday and pitched 2.2 innings, allowing just one hit and no runs while striking out five batters in the 6-4 win. On Saturday, he pitched 7.0 innings and allowed only two runs (both earned) on six hits. He added six strikeouts and three walks in the 3-6 setback. His first appearance of the series came in game one on Friday where he saw action for two-thirds of an inning, allowing no runs or hits. In 10.1 innings on the mound, Garcia posted a 1.74 earned run average with seven hits, two runs, 12 strikeouts and four walks.
The award marks the first time in Garcia's career that he has been recognized by the RMAC. Garcia is the second ThunderWolf pitcher this season to be recognized with the RMAC Pitcher of the Week award.
