Davitt first-team selection to RMAC all-academic team

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Pack senior Matt Davitt has been selected as a first-team member of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference baseball all-academic team, the RMAC announced Wednesday.
The ThunderWolves' pitcher, who has a 3-4 record in 10 appearances and 8 starts for Pack in 2008, boasts a 3.4 grade point average as a business major. He has been with the Pack for two seasons, boasting a 3.93 ERA and a 6-1 record as a junior for the ThunderWolves. The St. Mary's, Iowa native transferred from Indian Hills Community College prior to the 2007 season.
Also announced was the RMAC softball all-academic team, which recognized second baseman Kelly Purcell as a second-team selection. Also recognized were Pack sophomore catcher Bo Nuanez and senior rightfielder Joelle Rofrano on the RMAC honor roll.
