PUEBLO, Colo. - CSU-Pueblo senior outfielder Jason Fobes (Sr., Longmont, Colo.) has been named a third-team selection to the American Baseball Coaches' Association all-American team, the ABCA announced this week.

Fobes, who hit .474 in 2009, the second-highest single season batting average in CSU-Pueblo history, finished sixth in the nation in batting and sixth in the nation in doubles with 27.  He anchored a CSU-Pueblo lineup that led the nation in runs scored, hits, doubles and triples.

Fobes led CSU-Pueblo to its first regional tournament appearance since 2005, as the ThunderWolves turned in their second-highest regional finish in program history.

Prior to being named an ABCA all-American, Fobes was named a Daktronics first-team all-American, and was also a first-team academic all-American selection by CoSIDA and ESPN The Magazine.
