Pack stymied by Regis pitcher

PUEBLO, Colo. (GoThunderWolves.com - Apr. 15, 2011) - CSU-Pueblo again got wrapped up in a Friday night pitchers' dual, getting four-hit by Regis ace Charlie Henderson as the Pack fell 5-0.

Behind the Pack's ace, Cole Stephens, who was impressive in six innings of work, giving up seven hits and striking out nine, the ThunderWolves' offense had no pop.

After getting three hits over the first three innings, Henderson retired 15 of the next 18 batters.  In all, Henderson struck out 16 ThunderWolves.

With the loss, the ThunderWolves swap places with Regis in the RMAC standings, falling to fifth place in the eight-team conference.  The top six teams earn a berth to the RMAC Tournament.

Games two and three of the teams' four-game series continue Saturday with a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m.
