Fabrizio named regional pitcher of the week

PUEBLO, Colo. (GoThunderWolves.com - Feb. 22, 2012) - CSU-Pueblo sophomore hurler Mike Fabrizio (So., Pueblo, Colo.) has been named the Central Region Pitcher of the Week by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.

Fabrizio threw a complete game in a win over Montana State-Billings, allowing just one run on five hits, striking out eight Yellowjacket batters.  He was pivotal in the Pack's 2-1 pitchers' duel win.

Fabrizio is the first ThunderWolf to be honored in the NCBWA's new regional player of the week program. 

CSU-Pueblo will travel to Texas this week to take on Angelo State, which is on the verge of being ranked in the NCBWA National Poll.
