COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (GoThunderWolves.com - March 27, 2012) - For the second time in as many weeks, the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference's top pitcher boasts a CSU-Pueblo cap.
Junior hurler Kyle Clemens (Jr., Colorado Springs, Colo.) was named the RMAC Pitcher of the Week Tuesday, one week after teammate Jeremiah Struble (Jr., Divide, Colo.) earned the same honor.
Clemens threw a complete game shutout against New Mexico Highlands, which entered the series with CSU-Pueblo as the 10th-best hitting team in the nation. His outing was part of a four-game sweep of the Cowboys by the ThunderWolves and helped set off 15 straight scoreless innings turned in by Pack pitching against New Mexico Highlands.
This week, CSU-Pueblo, which is currently tied for second in the RMAC standings, tries to keep its eight-game win streak alive as it travels to Nebraska-Kearney.
