PUEBLO, Colo. (GoThunderWolves.com - May 3, 2012) - CSU-Pueblo senior J.T. Greenhood (Sr., Pueblo, Colo.) has been named First Team Academic All-District by Capital One and the College Sports Information Directors of American (CoSIDA).
Greenhood becomes the first ThunderWolf baseball player to earn Academic All-District honors since 2009, when eventual CoSIDA Academic All-American, Jason Fobes, earned the honor. By virtue of his first-team Academic All-District selection, Greenhood is now eligibible for Academic All-America honors.
Greenhood, the 2012 RMAC Academic Player of the Year, balances a 3.54 grade-point-average as a civil engineering major with a stellar on-field resume, where he is ranked in the top five in the RMAC in slugging percentage, RBI, doubles, triples and home runs.
The Capital One/CoSIDA Academic All-America squads will be voted upon and announced later this month.
