Lacomb named RMAC Co-Player of the Year
Pack second baseman becomes first ThunderWolf to be named Player of the Year since 2002.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (GoThunderWolves.com - May 9, 2012) - For the first time since 2002, a ThunderWolf has earned the RMAC's Player of the Year honor as junior second baseman Chase Lacomb (Jr., Las Vegas, Nev.) was named the RMAC's Co-Player of the Year Wednesday.
Lacomb leads the RMAC in on base percentage (.527) and doubles (18), with his OBP figure ranking 12th in the nation. Lacomb's .396 batting average is the best on the CSU-Pueblo team and his 67 hits are good for fifth in the conference.
Lacomb's honor headlined a crop of Pack all-conference honors, which included seven all-conference honorees and three first-team selections.
Lacomb claimed first-team honors at second base while pitcher Mike Fabrizio (So., Pueblo, Colo.) was a unanimous first-team selection. Outfielder J.T. Greenhood (Sr., Pueblo, Colo.) rounded out the Pack's first-team nods.
Earning second-team honors were catcher Chris Schindler (Sr., San Mateo, Calif.), first baseman Jovany Valenzuela (Jr., Tucson, Ariz.) and outfielder Andrew Castaneda (Sr., San Jose, Calif.). Pitcher Kyle Clemens (Jr., Colorado Springs, Colo.) earned third-team honors.
