Lacomb wraps up third All-Region honor of 2012

Pack second bagger now eligible for Daktronics All-American squad.

PUEBLO, Colo. (GoThunderWolves.com - May 17, 2012) - CSU-Pueblo second baseman Chase Lacomb (Jr., Las Vegas, Nev.) has now been selected for each of the three major All-Region teams, earning a Daktronics first-team All-Central Region selection, it was announced Thursday.

With the first-team selection, he is now eligible for Daktronics All-America honors.  Wednesday, he was also named first-team All-Region by the American Baseball Coaches' Association, and is eligible for All-American honors from that organization, as well.

Lacomb, the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Co-Player of the Year, hit .390 in 2012 with a .529 on-base-percentage, highest in the RMAC and second-highest of any player in the Central Region.  He also secured the 2012 Rawlings Central Region Gold Glove Award for the second straight season and is eligible to capture his second straight National Gold Glove Award after winning the award in 2011.
