INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (GoThunderWolves.com - June 7, 2012) - With its 37 triples during the 2012 season, CSU-Pueblo was far and away the NCAA Division II statistical leader in triples as the season closed this week, the NCAA announced.

CSU-Pueblo's triples figure was 10 better than the next closest club, Felcian College, as the ThunderWolves were the only squad in the nation to collect more than 30 triples during the season.

The Pack's 2012 triples figure is tied for the 10th-most turned in by a team in a single season in NCAA Division II history, also tying the single-season mark set by the 2009 ThunderWolf squad.

Since the NCAA began recognizing national team statistical champions in 2002, this marks the fifth time the team has led the nation in a particular statistical category.  In 2009, the ThunderWolves won a remarkable four NCAA Division II team statistical titles: runs, hits, doubles and triples.
