PUEBLO, Colo. (February 16, 2017) – Colorado State University-Pueblo baseball continues nonconference play this week, as it hosts its first pod series with Adams State University and Regis Univeristy coming to Pueblo.
The Pack (2-4) take on Regis Friday and will play Adams State Saturday, in a pair of 9-inning contests, both schedule for 1 p.m.
Ahead of Saturday's game against ASU, the Grizzlies will play the Rangers at 10 a.m.
CSU-Pueblo wraps up the weekend Sunday with a doubleheader against the Rangers at 11 a.m. with the contest against the Grizzlies to follow. Both contests are slated for a seven-inning affair.
CSU-Pueblo returns to action after going 1-2 last week and dropping an 8-7 decision in 11-innings in the finale of their first ever series against University of Colorado Colorado Springs.
In their 13-4 win, catcher Ambrose Romero (Jr., Albuquerque, N.M.) went 3-for-3 at the dish with four RBIs and three runs scored.
Derek Rohleder (Jr., Littleton, Colo.) picked up his first win of the young season tossing six strong innings and allowed three runs, one earned, on four hits and five strikeouts by the Mountain Lions.
The Pack hit the road for the first time this season Feb. 24-26 and battle Lubbock Christian in a four-game series and final tune-up before conference play begins.
