PUEBLO, Colo. (November 27, 2017) – Colorado State University-Pueblo Baseball announced the signing of six prospects during the National Letter of Intent early signing period. These six student-athletes will be part of the Pack's 2019 roster.
Meet the Signees:
Reggie Williams- Pos: 3B/1B, From: Castle Rock, Colo., Previous School: Douglas County High School
Assistant Coach Eddie Williams: "Reggie is a Left handed hitting corner infielder with the hitting ability to be an impact player in the RMAC for the future. Reggie's older brother Jeff Williams was a standout pitcher at CSU Pueblo who eventually made it to AAA with the New York Yankees. He is also the younger cousin of Assistant Coach Eddie Williams.
Chase Ratliff - Pos: UTL, From: Austin, Texas, Previous School: Lake Travis High School
Assistant Coach Williams: "Chase is an extremely athletic utility player that can play virtually anywhere. What really excites us about Chase is his ability to help the club in many different ways and his sheer athletic ability that will put him in a good position to be very successful in the RMAC right away."
Hunter Salinas – Pos: OF/P, From: Austin, Texas, Previous School: Lake Travis High School
Assistant Coach Williams: "Hunter is an exciting two way player that will help the Pack both in the Outfield and on the Mound. Hunter's ability to play the outfield and hit will put him in a position to compete in the RMAC right away while his projection on the mound promises to play well in the future."
Daniel Abiles – Pos: OF/P, From: Glendale, Ariz. Previous School: Glendale Community College
Assistant Coach Williams: "Daniel is a good defensive catcher who brings to the Pack the ability to handle the pitching staff while showing off the talent to throw runners out and keep the double play in order. Daniel is a scrappy hitter who finds the barrel more often than not and is a hard-working dirtbag that plays hard all the time."
Johnathan Ramirez – Pos: RHP, From: Lamar, Colo. Previous School: Lamar Community College
Assistant Coach Williams: Johnathan is a bulldog pitcher that was a major threat out of the bullpen his freshman year for Lamar. Johnathan is a big RHP that should see considerable innings this year as well for Lamar. We are excited to get Johnathan as his projectable frame and bulldog mentality for the future."
Beau Brieske – Pos: OF/P, From: Glendale, Ariz. Previous School: Glendale Community College
Assistant Coach Williams: "Beau is a very exciting big RHP from Glendale CC in region 1. Beau spent his Freshman year as the ace of their staff in addition to playing outfield. Beau will once again be the ace for their staff this year as well as get AB's and some time on the OF. We are looking for Beau to be a horse in our program. He has the stuff to put Pack Baseball in the position to win championships."
