Dave Lange enters his 15th season as assistant coach of the
Colorado State-Pueblo program.
Lange, who has over 30 years of coaching experience, served as head
coach at Wyandotte Theodore Roosevelt High School prior to arriving
at CSU-Pueblo. He was named the league's coach of the year five
times and guided his teams to an overall 351-278 record, capturing
one state championship and one state runner-up title.
Seven of Lange's former players were drafted by Major League teams,
including Kevin Richardson, the fifth player taken in the 1977
draft.
In 1991, Lange served as head coach during the Michigan High School
Baseball Coaches Association All-Star game played in Tiger
Stadium.
He earned his bachelor's degree from Central Michigan University in
1967 and received his master's degree from Eastern Michigan
University in 1971.
Lange, from Edmore, Mich. and his wife, Carole, have one daughter:
