CSU-Pueblo boasted four members on the 2009 all-National Football Foundation, Colorado Chapter team, released Thursday.
The Pack had two players get first team honors - Jesse Lewis (So., Loveland, Colo.), who got the most votes at tailback following his 1,000-yard rushing season, and Chase Vaughn (Sr., Aurora, Colo.), who will finish his collegiate career Jan. 8 at the Valero Cactus Bowl. Both were first-team all-RMAC selections in 2009.
Rounding out the Pack's entrants to the all-NFFCC team were tailback Jamaal Johnson (So., Fountain, Colo.) and center J.T. Haddan (So., Craig, Colo.). Johnson was just 50 yards away from a 1,000-yard rushing season while Haddan started every game for the ThunderWolves, helping CSU-Pueblo's rushing attack improve from 10th worst in the nation in 2008 to 15th-best in 2009.
NFFCC board members and the sports information directors from the 10 institutions in Colorado voted on the 2009 NFF All-Colorado team. The 10 Colorado institutions consist of Adams State, Air Force Academy, Colorado, Colorado Mines, Colorado State, Colorado State-Pueblo, Fort Lewis, Mesa State, Northern Colorado, and Western State.
