Military Appreciation Day is October 16

Veterans and active military will receive discounts, recognition at Pack's football game vs. Nebraska-Kearney.


PUEBLO, Colo. (GoThunderWolves.com - Oct. 9, 2010) - CSU-Pueblo is paying homage to United States' veterans and active military on Saturday as it observes Military Appreciation Day when the ThunderWolves host Nebraska-Kearney at the Neta and Eddie DeRose ThunderBowl.

The game will help determine RMAC supremacy as the ThunderWolves (5-1, 3-1 RMAC) host the nationally-ranked Lopers (5-1, 4-0 RMAC).

All veterans and active military personnel with ID will receive their choice of up to four free "Thunder Hill" tickets (regular price: $5 each) or up to four half price reserved seats (regular price: $10) for themselves and their family members.  Gameday ticket offers are available on game day or by picking up coupons, available at the CSU-Pueblo Ticket Office or at the Fort Carson Soldier and Familiy Assistance Center (Bldg. 1039) or by calling (719) 526-0316.

Military will also be offered a concessions special for four hot dogs, four bags of chips and four sodas for just $20.

The CSU-Pueblo/Nebraska-Kearney game, sponsored by the St. Mary Corwin Medical Center, will also feature a halftime landing of the "Flight for Life" helicopter at midfield.
