DALLAS, Tex. (GoThunderWolves.com - Sept. 12, 2011) - CSU-Pueblo's more than convincing 41-0 win over the 19th-ranked NAIA team in the country, Northwestern Oklahoma State, allowed the Pack to climb even higher in the national rankings this week, coming in at 18th in the American Football Coaches' Association (AFCA) Division II poll, released Monday.

It marks the first time since the school became a member of Division II (2008) that it had been ranked in the top 25 in a Division II poll in consecutive weeks.  It is also the first time it had eclipsed the nation's top 20.

Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference schools joining CSU-Pueblo in the poll are Nebraska-Kearney (No. 11) and Colorado School of Mines (No. 20).  All three have started 2011 2-0.

The ThunderWolves will open RMAC play Saturday when they travel to Adams State for the first night game ever for the Grizzlies.

The other major national poll, the D2Football.com poll, will be released Tuesday.  CSU-Pueblo was unranked in that poll last week.
