WACO, Tex. (GoThunderWolves.com - Sept. 26, 2011) - As the top 15 teams in the nation all won last weekend, CSU-Pueblo remained entrenched at a ranking of 14th nationally in the American Football Coaches' Association poll, released Monday.
The Pack improved to 4-0 with a more-than-convincing 47-0 win over Fort Lewis Saturday, posting their third straight home shutout in the process. It is the ThunderWolves' second-straight 4-0 start to the season.
The ThunderWolves are joined in the rankings by conference foe, Nebraska-Kearney, which is ranked 7th nationally and is also out to a 4-0 start. Colorado School of Mines and New Mexico Highlands each received votes in the poll.
CSU-Pueblo can edge higher in the poll with another win this weekend, but it won't be easy as it travels to Chadron State to take on the 2-2 Eagles.
