COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (GoThunderWolves.com - Oct. 3, 2011) - CSU-Pueblo senior linebacker Lee Meisner (Sr., Sterling, Colo.) was named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week Monday.
He becomes the fourth ThunderWolf to earn one of the RMAC's weekly honors and the first to snag the defensive honor.
Meisner led the ThunderWolves with nine tackles in the Pack's 38-28 win over Chadron State, but more importantly, had two interceptions, including one red zone pick in the second quarter and another that stalled a would-be drive as the Pack led by 10 in the fourth quarter, virtually icing the game.
It is the second honor in a week for Meisner, who was named as one of 127 semifinalists for the National Football Foundation Scholar Athlete scholarship last week.
