WACO, Tex. (GoThunderWolves.com - Oct. 31, 2011) - The ThunderWolves continued their meteoric rise to the top of the Division II football rankings Monday, climbing three spots to number-four in the nation, according to the latest American Football Coaches' Association (AFCA)/USA Today Poll, released Monday.

The ThunderWolves extended their record to 9-0 with their 37-0 shutout of New Mexico Highlands Saturday, the team's third shutout of the season and fourth game in which the team allowed no offensive points.  It is CSU-Pueblo's first 9-0 start in school history and extends its Division II-best win streak to 13 games, dating back to last season.

The ranking is its highest Division II ranking in school history.  When the school was an NAIA institution, it had reached a ranking as high as third in 1980.

CSU-Pueblo's final two games of the regular season are at home, with the first of which being a showdown with Western State at 2 p.m. Saturday.
