Meisner earns second career Academic All-District honor

Pack senior earns second career first-team Academic All-District honor.

PUEBLO, Colo. (GoThunderWolves.com - Nov. 10, 2011) - CSU-Pueblo senior linebacker Lee Meisner (Sr., Sterling, Colo.) has been named Academic All-District by ESPN The Magazine and the College Sports Information Directors of American (CoSIDA).

Meisner, a four-year starter with the ThunderWolves who was named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Academic Player of the Year earlier this season, combines his 89 tackles and four interceptions through 10 games this season with a 3.91 grade-point-average as a business major.  He has previously been named the Hasan School of Business Student of the Year as well as one of 127 semifinalists for the prestigious William F. Campbell Award, the "Heisman Trophy" of football student-athletes given by the National Football Foundation.  Meisner was one of just 12 Division II football players named in the list.

By virtue of his first-team Academic All-District honor, Meisner will now be eligible for Academic All-American status.
