PUEBLO, Colo. (GoThunderWolves.com - Dec. 7, 2011) - John Wristen isn't the only CSU-Pueblo football coach up for a national award.  Defensive coordinator Hunter Hughes also needs your vote as he is one of four national finalists for Football Scoop/SpeedTracs Coordinator of the Year.

Hughes is up for the honor alongside finalists Kienus Boulware (Winston-Salem), Charlie Flohr (Northwest Missouri State), and Brian Natkin & Roderick Taylor (Midwestern State).

Similar to the Liberty Mutual Coach of the Year program, the Football Scoop/SpeedTracs Coordinator of the Year award is also determined partially from the outcome of online fan voting.  Fans can vote online by visiting http://www.footballscoop.com/coaching-awards/2011-coaches-of-the-year/2011-division-ii-coordinator-of-the-year

Online fan voting is open until Dec. 11.

Previous winners of the Division II Coordinator of the Year award are Tim Beck (Pitt State, 2008), Scott Preston (Arkansas Tech, 2009) and Ken Collums (Abilene Christian, 2010).
