Two publications put CSU-Pueblo in preseason Top 10
ThunderWolves garner first ever Division II preseason national ranking.
PUEBLO, Colo. (GoThunderWolves.com - June 13, 2012) - As the 2012 football preview season begins, CSU-Pueblo is expected again to be one of the nations best, picked to start the season ranked in the top ten nationally by USA Today and Lindy's Division II Football Preview.
The ThunderWolves received a ranking of 6th in the nation from the USA Today Preseason Top 10 and a ranking of 8th from Lindy's Preseason Top 25.
Both rankings mark the first time in program history that CSU-Pueblo has received a preseason ranking from either publication - or any preseason top 25 poll, for that matter.
CSU-Pueblo is the only Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference team listed in either poll.
In 2011, CSU-Pueblo put together its first undefeated regular season in school history, going 11-0 and ending the regular season ranked No. 1 in the nation, garnering the top seed in the NCAA Division II Playoffs.
