Fox named USA College Football Defensive Lineman of the Week

PUEBLO, Colo. (October 2, 2015) – Colorado State University-Pueblo football senior defensive end Morgan Fox (Fountain, Colo.) has been named USA College Football NCAA Division II Defensive Lineman of the Week.

Fox was honored as RMAC Defensive Player of the Week, Monday.

Fox continued to rack up sacks Saturday, as he totaled three in the 42-27 home victory against Western New Mexico University. The three sacks resulted in the loss of 31 yards for the Mustangs. Fox totaled six tackles (four solo), three tackles for loss and added four quarterback hurries.

Fox helped the Pack allow just 15 yards rushing in the game and only six points in the second half.

The senior end has 10 sacks (-82 yards) this season to lead NCAA Division II, while his 13.0 tackles for loss (-88 yards) is also the nation's best. The lost yards in both categories is also leading Division II.

The No. 10 ThunderWolves hit the road Saturday to battle Adams State University in a 1 p.m. RMAC tilt. The Grizzlies are coming off a historic comeback victory, as they defeated Western State Colorado Unviersity 52-51 in  the second overtime after trailing 42-6 in the first half.
