WACO, Texas (October 5, 2015) – The Colorado State University-Pueblo football team moved up to No. 7 in the Monday release of the American Football Coaches Association NCAA Division II poll. The ThunderWolves were No. 10 the past two weeks.
The combination of losses in the top 10 and the ThunderWolves' (4-1, 3-0 RMAC) 56-0 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference road victory against Adams State University, moved the Pack up the rankings.
Minnesota State University, Mankato was again the No. 1 team in the poll with 30 first-place votes, while the ThunderWolves' semifinal opponent a season ago, University of West Georgia, was No. 2 for the fourth straight week and picked up the other two first-place nods.
The ThunderWolves will battle with the only team to beat them in 2014, Oct. 10 in the annual homecoming game. The RMAC contest is set for a 2 p.m. start and will air live on Comcast CET (channel 105/900 HD). The 2015 class of the CSU-Pueblo Athletics Hall of Fame will be recognized at halftime of the game.
