COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (November 9, 2015) – Colorado State University-Pueblo senior defensive end Morgan Fox (Fountain, Colo.) was named Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week, following a stellar performance against then-No. 16 Colorado Mesa University.
The award is the second of the season for Fox and seventh for a member of the No. 4 ThunderWolves.
Fox recorded his third, three-sack game of the season Saturday in the 51-20 victory against No. 16 Colorado Mesa in a battle of undefeated RMAC teams. The three quarterback takedowns resulted in a loss of 19 yards and one of them was in the end zone for a safety. The NCAA Division II leader in sacks per game (1.88) finished the game with eight tackles (six solo), which ranked second the team.
The Pack held the Mavericks to 105 yards rushing (CMU entered the game averaging 242.3 ypg) and 241 total yards (entered averaging 440.3 ypg). The 20 points was also nearly half the season avearge (35.2 ppg).
Fox owns 15 sacks in eight games this season, which is second most overall in the nation and a half sack shy of tying the program record, held by Darius Allen (15.5 sacks in 2013 and 2014). He is also a half sack from tying Allen for the school's career record. Allen finshed his four-year career with 34.5 sacks.

CSU-Pueblo caps the regular season with a road contest at New Mexico Highlands University (2-8, 2-6 RMAC). A win would secure an outright conference championship and likely lock in the Pack for their fifth straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament. Game time is set for 2 p.m. in Las Vegas, N.M.
