WICHITA FALLS, Texas (December 2, 2015) – Five members of the No. 4 Colorado State University-Pueblo football team were honored Wednesday as Division II Conference Commissioners Association All-Region selections.
Seniors Zach Martinez (OL, Redlands, Calif.) and Cameron McDondle (RB, Littleton, Colo.) were named D2CCA All-Region First Team Offense, while senior Morgan Fox (DL, Fountain, Colo.) was honored as D2CCA All-Region First Team Defense.
The D2CCA all-region teams are nominated and voted upon by the Division II football sports information directors. All first team all-region selections will now be placed on the national ballot for All-America consideration. The All-America team will be released Tuesday, Dec. 15.

Helps guide a ThunderWolves rushing attack that ranks fifth nationally with 305.1 yards per game … Contributed to Pack rushing attack that became just the fifth in NCAA Division II history to produce both a 2,000 yard rusher and a 1,000 yard rusher in the same season … The offensive line has allowed just 16 sacks (-107 yards) to rank No. 23 nationally (1.23 in sacks per game).
Honored as a Harlon Hill Trophy finalist Wednesday ... Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year and an All-RMAC First Team selection ... Currently ranks second in NCAA Division II in rushing yards (2,129), rushing yards per game (177.4) and rushing touchdowns (24) ... Sits third nationally in rush yards per carry (7.5), fourth in scoring (12.0) and fifth in all-purpose yards (183.83) ... The yards total in 2015 is a program record, while he also owns the program record for touchdowns in a season (24) and in a career (60). McDondle also holds the single-season scoring record (144) and Oct. 24 against then-No. 7 Colorado School of Mines, he rushed for 308 yards, a new program best ... His total rushing yards this season ranks 16th on NCAA Division II all-time season yards list, while it is second most on the RMAC single-season chart. His rushing touchdowns total is fourth in a single season in conference history.
Honored as the runner-up for the Gene Upshaw Division II Lineman of the Year Award ... Named Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year and All-RMAC First Team ... Ranks second in the nation in sacks per game with 1.45 ... In eleven games he has totaled 16.0 sacks to rank second in Division II and his 14 solo sacks is second ... Sits 20th nationally with 1.7 tackles for loss per game and has totaled 19 tackles for loss resulting in -129 yards ... Owns 45 tackles (29 solo), has forced and recovered a fumble and has one pass break-up ... During the regular season, Fox was named RMAC Defensive Player of the Week twice and NFFCC Player of the Week once ... Owns the program record for sacks in a season (16) and career (35), as he surpassed two-time Gene Upshaw Award winner, Darius Allen (Upshaw in 2013 and 2014).

Reigning Harlon Hill Trophy recipient Jason Vander Laan of Ferris State University earned the region's top offensive honors after rushing for 1,542 yards and 24 touchdowns and throwing for 2,625 yards and 27 more scores this season.
Grand Valley State's Matt Judon earned D2CCA Super Region Four Defensive Player of the Year honors after leading all of college football with 20 sacks in 2015. The Gene Upshaw Division II Lineman of the Year also made 70 tackles including 23.5 for loss.
The Division II Conference Commissioners Association encourages and promotes Division II athletics and high standards of sportsmanship as important elements of higher education. The CCA is a key communications link among the conferences as they discuss views, policies and regulations that impact Division II intercollegiate athletics and works closely with the NCAA as a communications channel to NCAA Division II member colleges and universities.
