WACO, Texas (December 22. 2015) – The Colorado State University-Pueblo football team finished the 2015 season ranked No. 5 in the American Football Coaches Association's Final Poll. With this final ranking, the ThunderWolves have held a spot in the top-five since Oct. 26.
Despite holding a top-five spot for the entire 2013 regular season and hanging on to No. 1 for the final five weeks of the 2012 regular season, the Pack recorded the second-highest ranking in school history with this season's No. 5 placing.
CSU-Pueblo has wrapped up its campaign with a top-10 ranking in each of the last five seasons including last year when they ranked No.1 in the AFCA Final poll after winning the 2014 NCAA Division II National Championship.
The Pack concluded the 2015 season with a 12-2 record. They overwhelmed the competition on their way to a 9-0 record in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference games and a fifth consecutive RMAC Championship. CSU-Pueblo has won 48 of its last 49 RMAC games.
Eventual NCAA Division II National Champion, Northwest Missouri State University ranked No.1 in the ADCA Final Poll. The ThunderWolves were the only RMAC team ranked in the AFCA Final poll.
As a member of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, Colorado State University – Pueblo competes in 22 varsity sports in NCAA Division II intercollegiate athletics.
