PUEBLO, Colo. (April 25, 2016) – The Colorado State University-Pueblo football team conducted its annual Spring Game Friday at the Neta and Eddie DeRose ThunderBowl. The activities surrounding the game included a ring ceremony, team spring awards, "Stretch with the Pack' and alumni weekend.
The ThunderWolves posted a perfect 9-0 record in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference record in 2015 to secure their fifth straight conference championships. The returning Pack players received their rings Friday before the game.
The Pack invited kids to the field to "Stretch with the Pack" before the game.
CSU-Pueblo Football Alumni Weekend was Friday and Saturday, which included some time with the team, dinner and a golf event. More than 80 alumni, ranging from the 1960s to recent graduates, returned to reunite with their Pack Family.
The Red Team, drafted by senior captain LaRon Tarkington (S, Phoenix, Ariz.) defeated the White Team, selected by senior captain Joseph Jones (S, Fountiain, Colo.) by the score of 20-14. Defense ruled both squads, as each team returned a fumble to the end zone. The white team totaled three interceptions, while the red team put constant pressure on the white quarterbacks.

The 2016 season begins with a marquee match up at Colorado School of Mines Sept. 1. The RMAC battle is scheduled for a 7 p.m. kickoff. The ThunderWolves start the home slate with a RED OUT versus nonconference-foe West Texas A&M University Sept. 10 beginning at 6 p.m.

As a member of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, Colorado State University – Pueblo competes in 22 varsity sports in NCAA Division II intercollegiate athletics.
