Pack Football tabbed No. 11 in Sporting News, No. 8 in Lindy's Preseason Polls

PUEBLO, Colo. (June 3, 2016) – The Colorado State University-Pueblo football team earned a No. 11 ranking in the 2016 Sporting News NCAA Division II Preseason Top 25 Poll, which appeared in the annual college football preview magazine. The ThunderWolves were No. 8 in the Lindy's Sports Preseason Top 25. 

The ThunderWolves went 12-2 in 2015 and reached the NCAA Division II Quarterfinals for the third time in the last four years. The Pack were ranked No. 5 in both the American Football Coaches Association and final national polls.

CSU-Pueblo will begin its quest for a sixth straight Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championship week one, as the Pack open the season at Colorado School of Mines, who earned the No. 6 ranking in the Sporting News poll, Sept. 1 at 7 p.m. 

The ThunderWolves begin a three-game homestand Sept. 10, as the Pack welcome West Texas A&M University for a RED OUT beginning at 6 p.m.

Following three straight home games, the Pack will travel to play Sporting News' No. 22 team, Colorado Mesa University, Oct. 1 at 1 p.m.
