CSU-Pueblo picked to win RMAC Title,  Eight Pack players earn Preseason All-RMAC nods

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (August 1, 2016) – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference announced its Preseason Awards Monday. Eight Colorado State University-Pueblo student-athletes earned Preseason All-RMAC honors. Senior Corbin Feenstra (Superior, Colo.) and juniors Zach Boyd (Fort Lupton, Colo.), Ty McCulley (Pueblo, Colo.) and Bernard McDondle (Littleton, Colo.) earned Preseason All-RMAC Offense honors. Seniors Josh Croy (Littleton, Colo.), Joseph Jones (Fountain, Colo.), Samuel Singleton (Denver, Colo.), and LaRon Tarkington (Phoenix, Ariz.) all received Preseason All-RMAC defense accolades.

The eight Preseason All-RMAC selections led the conference in the annual team voted on by the coaches. The closest school to the Pack (Colorado Mesa) had six selections.

RMAC coaches also picked CSU-Pueblo to win the conference title for the sixth consecutive season. The Pack received 10 of the 11 first place votes with coaches unable to vote for their own team, making the ThunderWolves an unanimous selection.

Feenstra, Jones, McCulley, Singleton, and Tarkington all return to the Pack after earning First Team All-RMAC honors a year ago. Boyd, Croy, and McDondle received Second Team All-RMAC honors in 2016.

The ThunderWolves have been selected to win the RMAC in each of the last five preseason polls. CSU-Pueblo has compiled a record of 60-6 over the last five seasons, including a 44-1 record in conference games.

The ThunderWolves open the season on ESPN3 and the WatchESPN app when the Pack travels to Golden, Colorado for a 7 p.m. meeting with Colorado School of Mines. 

Colorado Mines enters the season ranked third in the RMAC Preseason Coach's Poll. The Orediggers had five players selected Preseason All-RMAC.
