WACO, Texas (Sept. 6, 2016) – After suffering an opening-season loss at then-No. 18 Colorado School of Mines, the Colorado State University-Pueblo football team dropped from No. 5 to No. 19 in the weekly American Football Coaches Association NCAA Division II poll, released Monday.
Colorado Mines moved up No. 11 with the win. Colorado Mesa University appeared at No. 25 after receiving votes in the preseason poll.
The ThunderWolves are set to defend their 28-game regular season home streak, Saturday when West Texas A&M University visits the Neta and Eddie DeRose ThunderBowl for a 6 p.m. RED OUT game. WT lost its season-opener 28-10 at Azusa Pacific University.
CSU-Pueblo moved from No. 4 to No. 20 in the D2Football.com media poll.
As a member of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, Colorado State University – Pueblo competes in 22 varsity sports in NCAA Division II intercollegiate athletics.
