PUEBLO, Colo. (September 27, 2016) - Former Colorado State University-Pueblo football All-American Kieren Duncan signed a contract to the practice squad of the Canadian Football League's Winnipeg Blue Bombers, announced on the organization's website Tuesday.
Duncan conducted his first practice with the team today and Tweeted, "Great first day of work, blessed to have a job doing what I love."
The former Pack wide receiver and kick returner signed an undrafted free agent contract with the National Football League's Chicago Bears in May and spent the summer and training camp with the team before being released Aug. 28. In three preseason games, Duncan returned two kickoffs for 45 yards (long of 25 yards) and a punt for six yards. He was targeted twice as a receiver.
Duncan joins former teammates CJ Roberts (Winnipeg) and Darius Allen (BC Lions) currently on CFL rosters. Roberts is listed on the six-day injured list, but in seven games has accumulated 26 tackles and two interceptions (one for a touchdown). Allen has played in eight games for the Lions and owns six tackles with a sack.

CAREER: In four seasons with the Pack, Duncan totaled 1,914 receiving yards on 112 receptions (17.1 ypc) and 14 touchdowns ... Biggest season was in 2014, as he helped the ThunderWolves to the 2014 NCAA Division II National Championship with 712 yards on 45 receptions with three scores ... Added 1,080 career kick return yards on 39 returns (27.7 ypr) with a 98-yard touchdown ... Totaled 375 punt return yards on 36 attempts (10.4 ypr) and a long of 46 yards as a freshman in 2012 ... Compiled 284 rushing yards and two scores ... Racked-up 3,653 all-purpose yards in 46 games with 17 touchdowns.
The ThunderWolves (2-2, 2-1 RMAC) head to Grand Junction, Colo., Oct. 1 for a 1 p.m. showdown with No. 17 Colorado Mesa University (4-0, 4-0 RMAC) in an important Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference game.
