PUEBLO, Colo. (November 3, 2016) - For his efforts on the field and in the classroom, junior offensive lineman Corbin Feenstra (Superior, Colo.) earned College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District 4 honors, Thursday. The award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.
Feenstra, a business management and business administration major with a 3.99 GPA, was a CoSIDA Academic All-America and academic all-district selection last season. The junior is a four-time Academic All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference award winner, which includes Academic All-RMAC First Team in 2015 and 2016.
This season Feenstra has started all nine games at center. Despite missing their top running back for more than half the season, Feenstra has helped guide a Pack rushing attack that ranks No. 33 nationally with 206.9 yards per game. The ThunderWolves sit No. 13 nationally in tackles for loss allowed per game with 4.33. After allowing seven sacks in the first two games this season, the Pack have issued just seven quarterback takedowns in the last seven games.
The ThunderWolves (6-3, 6-2 RMAC) hosts RMAC-newcomer Dixie State University (5-4, 5-3 RMAC) Saturday, Nov. 5 at 2 p.m. at the Neta and Eddie DeRose ThunderBowl. Fans are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to donate to the CSU-Pueblo Pack Pantry.
