Franklin tapped as RMAC West Division Player of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference has announced that CSU-Pueblo senior guard Julien Franklin has been named RMAC Western Division Player of the Week.

Franklin was a big factor in the Pack's two wins last weekend over Western New Mexico (Jan. 17) and New Mexico Highlands (Jan. 19), averaging 14 points per game in the two wins.

Against Western New Mexico, Franklin had a big night on both sides of the ball, scoring 12, taking down six boards, and logging three steals and two assists as the Pack logged the 64-60 win.

Franklin really heated up against New Mexico Highlands, during five three-pointers in a 16-point effort, enabling the Pack to score the 82-68 win.

Franklin, an all-RMAC Western Division honorable mention selection last season, joined the team prior to the 2006-07 season. This marks the first time Franklin has been recognized by the RMAC with player of the week honors.
