KEARNEY, Neb. - Jake Trahern tallied a
career-high 29 points but its wasn't nough as the Nebraska-Kearney
Lopers beat the Colorado State University-Pueblo men's basketball
team 91-74 Wednesday night at the Health and Sports Center.
The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Tournament opening round
loss will bring in end to CSU-Pueblo's season. The Lopers will
advance to the semifinals where they will play Adams State Saturday
afternoon at the State Fair Events Center.
Trahern shot 14-for-20 from the floor as he collected his 29 points
before fouling out. He also added six rebounds and three
blocks.
Julien Franklin added 17 points and a team-high seven rebounds.
Senior guard Major Willette had five points and a career-high eight
assists in the final game of his career. Fellow senior Bret
Cloepfil finished with 11 points, six rebounds and four assits.
Drake Beranek led the Lopers with 20 points and nine rebounds.
Dusty Jura and Chad Burger each pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds
for UNK.
The ThunderWolves finish the season 13-15 overall.
