Packs runs on all cylinders, beats Adams

CSU-Pueblo 71, Adams State 52

Rome Smith (Sr., Denver, Colo.) was hitting threes.  Jordan Surratt (Sr., Morgantown, W.V.) delivered the assists.  And Jake Trahern (Sr., Kit Carson, Colo.) added the dunks.

Everything was clicking for the ThunderWolves as they took down visiting Adams State by a 71-52 margin at Massari Arena Friday.

The ThunderWolves never trailed the Grizzlies and were only tied on one occasion as the Pack shot a healthy 48 percent from the field.  The state was set by Smith, who sank two three-pointers right away, part of a game high 22-point effort.

Trahern added to the domination, registering three dunks in a 10-point, 8-rebound effort, including a pretty alley-oop from Roman Van Allen (Jr., Los Angeles, Calif.) in the first half that got the Massari crowd of over 2,300 strong into the actoin.

The motor to all the action was Surratt, who turned in a career-high seven assists and a steal, committing no turnovers in 32 minutes of action.

The Pack's win evens their record at 9-9, and elevates them to 6-4 in RMAC play.  The ThunderWolves will look to complete a weekend sweep against a touch opponent, West Division-leading Fort Lewis, who comes to Massari Arena Saturday.
